The Magpul AFG puts the hand in a position called supination. Supination occurs when the hand is held with the palm facing up and the knuckles towards the ground. This puts the musculus supinator muscles in extension with most weapon movement coming from the distal radioulnar articulation. (wrist joint) With weapon articulation coming from the wrist, the muscles being in extention, and the supination muscles being stronger than pronation muscles the AFG actually reduces shooter fatigue and enhances point control like no other firearm grip on the market. |
