Emdom Gadget Pocket

The Emdom Gadget Pocket is a multi-functional storage pouch, designed to store and provide protection for small items or electronics, such as compact digital cameras, laser devices, flashlights, PDA, blackberry, cell phones, ipod, or GPS units.

The design goals were as follows: Provide protection against frontal impact, abrasion, weather conditions, and scratches. Both vertical and horizontal mounting capability on PALS surface or on web belt, optimizing usage of mounting space. Fast and easy access to contents. Reduce accidental falling out of items - especially instances related to the softness of pouches. Additional compartments for accessories.

The Gadget Pocket features a 3.5" x 2" loop Velcro ID panel and a 5.5" x 4" general purpose single zippered pocket on the front. Behind it is a double zippered main compartment (size 5.5" x 4" x 2.2"). The double zipper runs along the top and continues to left side of the main compartment, creating a large L-shaped zipper opening. This large L-shaped opening not only facilitates fast access to contents (even with gloved hands), but also reduces the chances of items falling out as the main compartment only opens on two sides in any mounting position.

On the back panel of the main compartment is a Velcro-closure accessory pocket, great for memory cards or extra batteries. The top right corner of the accessory pocket features a para-cord loop for dummy-cording expensive items.

In order to protect the contents, the Gadget Pocket is constructed of mil-spec 1000 Denier Cordura nylon which is water and abrasion resistant. There is a built-in 1.2mm stiffened HDPE plastic sheet in the front panel of the main compartment to resist and spread frontal impact. The rigidity of HDPE plastic sheet also helps to maintain the shape of the pocket in the open position, reducing the chances of accidental fall out from the panel folding over. The interior of main compartment is cushioned by EVA foam and lined with soft Drilex foam padding, protecting the contents from moisture, bumps, or scratches.

On the left side of the Gadget Pocket are two rows of PALS webbing where you can mount a small MOLLE pouch, clip a small pen or attach a carabiner there.

At the back of the Gadget Pocket is a specially designed MALICE Clip matrix that allows both vertical and horizontal mounting of the pocket on PALS surface or at web belt (up to 3” wide). In horizontal mounting, user uses the built-in snap strap at the back. In vertical mounting, user uses long MALICE Clips for vest mounting, and short MALICE Clips for web belt mounting. The choice of vertical and horizontal mounting allows users to efficiently use their limited MOLLE mounting surface, and web belt space.

For users who want to carabiner the pocket onto somewhere, there is a carabiner webbing loop right next to the MALICE Clip matrix.

The Gadget Pocket is available in Multicam, Army ACU camo, Black, Foliage Green, Coyoteish, and Sewer Green. Each pocket comes with two long and two short MALICE Clips. Backed by Emdom's lifetime warranty.
