EMDOM Recon Waist Bag

The Emdom Recon Waist Bag was developed for operators to carry multiple mission essentials at waist level for easy access, without having to store them in a backpack or jam them in other pockets. The goal was to design a waist bag that has ample room for storage, is compact in size, and extremely comfortable in frontal and anterior hip wear during all movements and switching from various positions, such as standing, running and kneeling. To maximize functionality, the bag also incorporates features that allow it to integrate with other field / MOLLE gear during mounting and carrying. The Emdom Recon Waist Bag is custom-made to fulfill all the above requirements. The bag is made with 1000 Denier Mil-spec Dupont Cordura Nylon fabric, ITW plastic and metal hardware (IR reduction and standard), mil-spec YKK zippers, buckles and webbings. There are three storage compartments: main compartment (11” x 7” x 4”), a front outside pocket (6” x 4” x 2”), and a back zip pocket (8” x 4”).  The main compartment has an internal mesh organizer pocket with elastic top and two paracord tie-down loops for small items. The back base of the bag adopted a contoured inclined design for comfortable frontal / anterior hip wearing. The contoured V shape bottom base allows flexible hip movement during high-speed advancing or kneeling positions. The current size / shape ratio has been carefully revised for these benefits--contour fit, fast access, maximum stability, optimal storage capacity, and even weight distribution. Another unique feature of the Recon waist bag is the multiple carrying options that are offered. The waist belt can be adjusted up to 53” (fit for full-loaded operators) and it has a quick release buckle for fast detachment. The waist belt is also completely detachable by two low profile common loop-metal bar slider set ups. When the waist belt is detached, the bag becomes a standalone MOLLE pouch. Just insert three short MALICE clips (included) at back base of the bag and you can mount the bag onto various MOLLE surface (e.g. MOLLE utility belt, armor vest, backpack) or any belt / webbing up to 3” wide. The belt end of the bag is wide enough to fit a 1” split-loop fast release buckle (commonly called the repair buckles).  By inserting two male split-loop buckles (repair buckles) at belt ends of the bag, and two female split-loop buckles at a MOLLE surface, the bag can be buckled onto a MOLLE surface without using MALICE Clips. Similar MOLLE surface mountings can also be achieved by using Annex Clips, or GrimLock Locking D-ring (see below pictures). • MOLLE surface mounting by GrimLock Locking D-ring: Detach the waist belt. Add GrimLock Locking D-ring at the belt ends. Add MALICE Clips at the back of the bag. Waist bag is now mounted at the back of the Emdom Plate Carrier vest.
