Universal Rig Strap (URS) Sling

E-MM URS (Universal Rig Strap) Sling Emdom-MM URS (Universal Rig Strap) Sling is another collaboration between Emdom and MM from militarymorons.com. The URS sling originated from MM’s simple rig-attached single point sling. It is a simple, highly functional single point sling primarily designed for M4 the carbine that has a “rear single point sling attachment end plate” installed. The URS sling also fits other weapons that have similar configurations. The URS sling is made from lightweight, durable 1” mil-spec nylon webbing, Ghillietex military plastic and metal hardware (IR reduction capable), and mil-spec #69 thread. The sling can be divided into two main parts: weapon connector and rig strap. The weapon connector portion features a universal weapon connector loop and a male quick release Fastex buckle. The rig strap/anchor portion features a sling with a non-slip “Z-pull” end, a universal rig anchor loop, and a female Fastex buckle that connects the weapon connector. All stress areas are bartacked and reinforced. Operation is clean and simple: attach the weapon connector to your weapon, anchor the rig strap at the weak side (shoulder / chest area) of your suitable rigs (vest, harness, plate carrier, or armor), buckle the weapon connector and the rig strap together, adjust the sling length through the “Z” pull, and you are ready to go. Unlike conventional single point slings, there is no loop around your neck or body. It is extremely efficient and low profile, and it adds no bulk or interference with any chest-mounted gear. User is free to select the best anchor point according to their rig, body size, weapon type and personal preference. The whole configuration permits instant sling length adjustment, ambidextrous weapon operations, rapid strong or weak side transitions, high-speed primary-secondary weapon switches, emergency weapon detachment, and immediate weapon re-attachment (grab-lock-go). The URS sling works for all shooting positions, and it's meant for shooters who prefer the maneuverability of a single point sling, as opposed to two or three point slings.
